IHCL Expands in Rajasthan with New 122-Key Gateway Hotel in Alwar
Rajasthan continues to attract major hospitality investment, with Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) announcing a new 122-key Gateway hotel in Alwar.
The brownfield project will be located in the Aravalli region and is being developed in partnership with Lords India Entertainment. The planned hotel will combine leisure, wellness, dining and events, with an all-day dining restaurant, specialty restaurant, bar, swimming pool, fitness centre and spa.
The property is also expected to cater to weddings and social events, with more than 9,000 square feet of banqueting space alongside meeting facilities.
Alwar’s location is particularly interesting. Its proximity to Delhi-NCR, combined with destinations such as Sariska Tiger Reserve, Alwar Fort and Siliserh Lake, gives it potential across leisure, wildlife, heritage and weekend travel.
IHCL says the addition will take its Rajasthan portfolio to 74 hotels, including 32 under development.
The larger trend is clear: Indian hotel companies are increasingly looking beyond established tourism centres and building supply around emerging leisure and experiential destinations. Indian Hotels Company.
